Safe use of Ladders Training Courses
Course Key Facts
Employers have to ensure that staff who are using ladders are competent to do so. This short course is a quick and simple way of establishing competence, keeping your team members safe while using ladders and protecting your organisation from claims/prosecution. At least a third of falls from height involve ladders or step ladders and many of these can be avoided by selecting the right ladder for the job, transporting/storing it safely, checking and using it correctly.

- Hierarchy of fall protection
- Ladder selection
- Ladder pre-use checks
- Ladder set up
- Ladder use
Course Accreditation/Certification
Successful students will be awarded a CHT Level 2 Ladder Safety and Safe Working at Height certificate which will remain valid for three years is nationally recognised and qualifies for 3 C.P.D. hours. Assessment, accreditation and internal quality assurance are provided in accordance with The Work at Height Regulations 2005.
Other useful course information
Course duration 3 hours.
Up to 12 students can attend a group booking at your site.
Students are assessed by multiple choice test.
The course requires students to be able to read and write English, if this going to be a barrier to learning please contact the training company well in advance of the course to discuss how support can be provided.
