Our IOSH Managing Safely training course for Gym and Leisure Centre Management is focused to be relevant for managers and team leaders who work in diverse Leisure environments ranging from hotel swimming pools to twenty-four hour a day gyms. The advice from enforcement authorities on leisure sector health and safety is often very general; best practice is usually to follow the guidance of the governing body for the specific leisure activity.
By delivering this course in-house at your site we can further tailor the training to suit your organisation's needs. We can incorporate your health and safety policy, the risk assessments you use, your accident history and your accident investigation procedures into the training course.
Every year there are thousands of accidents in gyms, leisure centres and swimming pools many of them major. The sector has a reputation for being a "soft target" for personal injury claims, but good health and safety management can reduce accident rates and claims in Leisure Centres by up to 70%.

IOSH Managing Safely training will improve Gym Health & Safety
IOSH Managing Safely gives your managers a good understanding of the risk assessment process and practical cost-effective ways of controlling Leisure Centre risks. After the course, they will understand what their legal responsibilities are and how to reduce the chance of personal injury claims for negligence. We look at the composition of health and safety management systems, how they can be audited and the best ways of measuring performance.
The three day IOSH course will also look in detail at the main hazards in Leisure Centres

However, if it would work better for you to spread the training over four sessions or to organise the training in a three-day block this can also be arranged for no extra charge.
The total course price for up to 10 delegates is £2000. This price includes IOSH workbooks, project packs, training, assessment and certification.
