Practical, instructor-led First Aid at Work (FAW) onsite group training that equips delegates with the knowledge, practical skills and confidence to respond effectively to a wide range of workplace first aid emergencies.
Our three-day course is designed for organisations requiring fully qualified workplace first aiders and meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981.
What the Course Covers
The First Aid at Work course includes everything covered in the one-day Emergency First Aid at Work course before developing delegates' ability to recognise and manage a much wider range of workplace injuries and medical emergencies.
Training includes:
✔ Responsibilities of a workplace first aider
✔ Assessing an emergency situation safely
✔ Primary and secondary surveys
✔ Adult CPR
✔ Safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
✔ Recovery position
✔ Choking emergencies
✔ Severe bleeding
✔ Shock
✔ Fractures, sprains and soft tissue injuries
✔ Head, neck and spinal injuries
✔ Chest injuries
✔ Burns and scalds, including chemical and electrical burns
✔ Eye injuries
✔ Poisoning
✔ Anaphylaxis
✔ Major medical conditions, including heart attack, stroke, asthma, epilepsy and diabetes
✔ Practical first aid scenarios
